Award Scheme

The award scheme is structured so that the participants work through a set of skills and a set of drills on each award. Skills are individual moves. Drills are where they link the moves they have learned together in routines. The skills and drills are ticked off when the participant can perform them competently and with good aesthetic form consistently.

Usually, participant speed through awards 1-4 which are fairly simple. From award 5, the progress becomes slower, as body landings are introduced (back landings, front landings). These moves are more challenging and can be scary to perform on the trampoline, rather than on the safety mat. They also need to be technically correct in order to move from safety mat to trampoline, which can take some time.

Each child works through the award scheme in their own time, and to their individual ability.

Certificates are given out for awards passed at the end of each term.
